Explore the art genre called steampunk in the September Monthly Craft at the JRP, 100 S 10th Street, St. Joseph, MO. This interesting and fun multi-media project will discuss steampunk and provide participants the opportunity to create a make and take project. “This is no Tribute Show, this is a celebration of a musical icon that is loved and respected.” Tommy Vee with songs like “Cracklin’ Rosie,” “Song Sung Blue,” and “Sweet Caroline,” Tommy and Matt Vee along with sons of Bobby Vee take the stage to celebrate the music of Neil Diamond. Two local trumpeters and the St. Joseph Youth Chorale will share the stage giving the audience a huge finale.
Frank Oden's cowboy poetry creates a lyrical narrative for music evocative of the American West. The story poems are interspersed between orchestral selections including John Williams' Cowboy's Overture, Aaron Copland's Four Dances from Rodeo and Rossini's William Tell Overture.
