Approved fall open burning will take place November 1-30, between the hours of 8am-6pm. Only dry yard waste such as leaves, brush and logs grown on the residential property may be burned. Residents are encouraged to explore alternatives to open burning. Before burning, make sure to check the city's social media pages, Channel 19 or website for temporary burn bans due to weather.
Feel Better. Be in Control. There is something you can do! Living a Healthy Life is a free program designed to help participants gain confidence in their abilities to control disease symptoms. This program helps build skills to cope and manage chronic conditions. This 6-week program, developed by Stanford University, complements services provided by your health care provider. Join the Arthritis Community Services team for this free program that will meet from 2-4 pm on Thursday's from November 9 - December 21, 2023 at the Joyce Raye Patterson 50+ Activity Center, 100 S 10th Street, St. Joseph, MO 64501.
