The start of a new decade means it’s time for another census to be conducted in the United States. It’s important as for every person counted, our state receives federal funding for education, public transportation, emergency food and shelter, and health services. Also, when residents respond to the census, the state gets needed representation in Congress. Residents should have started receiving information in the mail on how to complete the 2020 Census. National Census Day is April 1, as by this date every home should have received their information. For more information, visit the Missouri 2020 Census page.
