Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, Easter holiday this year needs to be more like Home Alone for the holidays. Perry Como’s, “The man who lives in Tennessee who was headin’ for Pennsylvania and some homemade pumpkin pie” should, instead, support our local restaurants and pick up his pie curbside and head back home (alone) for this Easter holiday.
We are living in a time where normal is no longer normal and we are all working hard to get through it. Sometimes, levity is the answer to managing anxiety and uncertainty, and this coronavirus definitely has uncertainty surrounding it.
Holidays mean many different things and have many traditions surrounding them. At the heart of most holidays is family and being together with our families. While being together with family is so very important, this year staying safe and healthy outweighs the importance of being together. We have all worked hard at social distancing, Don’t. Let. Up. Now! Please avoid family gatherings this holiday weekend so you can enjoy your family for many more to come.
Let’s all commit to staying apart this Easter holiday so we can be together for future holidays.
We are all in this together.
